balance

Disputed clause resolution

We test alternative wording where a clause has stalled, keeping your essential protection without creating needless deadlock.

fact_check

Final pre-signing check

Before signature, we check that the agreed amendments appear in the final document and that no old wording has returned.

Keep the relationship workable

Firm on the terms. Careful with the relationship.

Contract negotiation is about what happens after signature as much as what appears on the page. We propose changes that can be explained to the other side and followed in practice.

Where a point is sensitive, we can ghostwrite an email in your tone of voice. You stay in control while the wording does the difficult work.

That approach protects commercial trust.

"The advice gave us a clear way to push back without making the supplier feel cornered. We knew which points mattered and which ones could move."

Redline support that makes sense

A redline should help a decision happen. We show the proposed wording, explain the commercial reason and prepare a clean version when the changes are agreed.

Here is a simplified example.

Limitation of liability description
The Supplier's total liability shall not exceed the fees paid in the previous three months the greater of the fees paid in the previous twelve months or £100,000.
The proposed period better reflects the contract term and the likely cost of a serious service failure. The cap gives both parties a clear financial boundary before signature.

Clear answers

Quick answers on contract negotiation

Every negotiation has its own pressure points. These answers cover the questions we hear most often.

Can you represent me at a negotiation meeting? expand_more

We generally do not attend in-person meetings. By arrangement, we can join a video call, prepare your speaking notes and help you set a clear position before the meeting.

What if the other side will not budge? expand_more

We look for a different way to frame the issue, test compromise wording and identify your walk-away point. You will know the commercial consequence before deciding whether to continue.

Do you advise on employment contracts? expand_more

Our focus is commercial contracts for businesses and individuals. For employment contracts, we can refer you to a trusted specialist.

Can I ask for help with one clause only? expand_more

Yes. A focused review can cover a disputed liability, termination, payment or restrictive covenant clause. Call +44 7850 907652 to discuss what you need.
